Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a therapeutic procedure used to treat myofascial trigger points. It involves insertion of a sterile needle into the trigger point, which may be painful and sensitive, to elicit a twitch response. It is used to relieve muscle pain, increase muscle activation and increase range of movement. Some side effects include fainting, bruising and muscle tenderness, however, your physiotherapist will discuss the possible side effect with you prior to the treatment.
